Failsworth Hats
Failsworth Hats Ltd has been manufacturing ladies hats and men’s hats since 1903 and has two design and manufacturing teams in Manchester and Luton.
As a successful 21st Century hat manufacturer we bring together top quality design and a global procurement and production strategy. Our teams of in-house accessory designers create styles for domestic and global markets, for fashion, retail, trade and corporate business. Failsworth Hats remains one of the largest headwear suppliers in Europe.
For our larger customers we design, manufacture and supply development samples in the U.K. and produce them to meet the customers exacting range meeting deadlines. Our designers have the experience of working with the buyers and designers at some of the largest High Street retailers and are well experienced in fulfilling the customers’ needs quickly and accurately.
Our Hat Making History
The company was formed in 1903 and has since been designing and manufacturing men’s hats in Failsworth, Manchester. We also manufacture our ranges of ladies occasion hats in Luton, the home of ladies hats, for many years. Our knowledge and experience of hat production is second to none.

As a responsible business, we believe that all our products should be ethically sourced; therefore we will only work with companies who share our belief and embrace our values of respect for employees, respect for suppliers, respect for customers and respect for the environment.
At Failsworth, we fully recognise our responsibility to the environment and our impact upon it. We have a number of initiatives in place and will continue to explore every opportunity to provide meaningful change and reduce our impact further.

Customers and Suppliers
The business will not deal with customers who do not aspire to our standards and values and will not buy from suppliers who do not recognize, accept and honour these standards and the requirements of local employment laws.
We will not deal with suppliers who pay less than the legally set minimum level of pay, expect employees to work more than the legal maximum hours of employment or do not accept our rigorous standards of health and safety.
